Henham Park Dry Hire Wedding
Many couples choose dry-hire venues as it allows them more freedom in the direction of their day. Whether it’s a classy cocktail party or a carnival throwdown, dry hire allows you additional movement in design and hiring suppliers, plus it can maximize your potential savings.
After contacting me via my website in early 2022, B&L had an online consultation to explain their planning so far and expectations from me of the day. Simply, they wanted someone to come in and coordinate their dry-hire wedding at Henham Park. They had put in the graft and were ready to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
Fun Fact: Henham Park is home of the Latitude Festival AND was the venue of choice for Ed Sheeran when he and his wife Cherry Seaborn decided to tie the knot.
Henham is located along the Norfolk coast, although this is not somewhere you would usually find me, after speaking with the couple I couldn’t help but say yes. Their friendly demeanour and positive attitude welcomed me immediately and after hearing of some of their suppliers I knew it was going to be a weekend to remember!
So May 14th 2022. The day had finally arrived, it was B&L’s wedding day. My team and I arrived early on site and were welcomed by a beautifully decorated barn. It was simple, yet stunning with a fresh spring feel and delicate flower arrangements.
We set up the ceremony on the bridge overlooking the river, a perfect backdrop for the “I do’s” The flower ring created by Sassy Floral perfectly framed both the couple and the water and with the sun overhead, the ceremony went off without a hitch.
Then the rest of the day took place back up in the barn and its surroundings, there was live music, laughter and fire pits ready for some late-night marshmallow roasting! Kicking off the drinks reception was the rocking duo Lucy & Lighthouse. Canapes were a hit, drinks were flowing and a bubble machine was making waves with the little ones. What more could you ask for on a sunny spring afternoon?
As our guests migrated in for dinner, the speeches began and friends and family alike giggled away at the anecdotes and ‘old school stories’ given by close friends of the couple.
As day turned into night the party got groovy and everyone had their dancing shoes at the ready. Then, With major tunes provided by Fizz and Groove, the party guests couldn’t stay off the dance floor!
The day was the picture-perfect springtime wedding. Flowers are in bloom all across the grounds and new lambs attract the oohs and awws of unsuspecting guests. However, the party was one the Ibiza coast would be proud of.
This Norfolk wedding was all about wholesome family fun and having a good time.
